Smaranda Maria Albeck, Rhythmic Dreams founder and Executive Director has a background in mathematics and financial services and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. In 2002, while working in Management Consulting, Smaranda made the surprising decision to open a non-profit rhythmic gymnastics school, to offer her daughter Ada, a budding rhythmic gymnastics talent at that time, the best training conditions possible. Smaranda's dream was to put Boston on the rhythmic gymnastics world map and to bring this beautiful sport into the lives of as many little girls as possible. She accomplished this by growing and diversifying the programs offered by Rhythmic Dreams and by hosting top athletes from more than 20 countries at the camps and competitions she helped organize and host in Boston. Twelve years later, Rhythmic Dreams has become one of the strongest and largest programs in the US, serving more than 400 students annually, with a strong international reputation. Ms. Albeck is investing today the same energy and time into growing and strengthening the program offerings, recruiting top teaching talent year after year, and devoting maximum attention to quality and detail, discipline, strong results and fun for all kids registered at all levels.
